Jammu: BJP Jammu & Kashmir President and Rajya Sabha MP Sat Sharma (CA), accompanied by Leader of Opposition in the J&K Legislative Assembly Sunil Sharma, General Secretary (Organization) Ashok Koul and General Secretary Baldev Singh Billawaria chaired a meeting of BJP MLAs at the party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, to discuss important public issues, upcoming programmes and organizational activities.
The meeting took detailed stock of the issues and grievances raised by people during the district headquarters-wise public outreach tours led by Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma. The BJP legislators discussed the major concerns brought before them by public delegations and decided to raise these issues with the government at the appropriate forums and seek time-bound redressal.
Sat Sharma said that BJP MLAs are fully committed to discharging their responsibilities as elected representatives and will remain the strong voice of the people inside and outside the Assembly. He said that the public cannot be left to suffer because of administrative apathy or lack of effective governance at the grassroots level. BJP will continue to stand with the people, raise their genuine concerns forcefully and hold the government accountable for ensuring responsive and result-oriented governance, he said.
Sunil Sharma said that the extensive district-level outreach has brought to the fore a wide range of genuine issues confronting people across Jammu & Kashmir. He said that BJP legislators will pursue these matters with seriousness and determination and ensure that public grievances are converted into concrete issues for discussion before the government. Our responsibility does not end with listening to the people, we will pursue their issues until meaningful action is taken, he said.
Ashok Koul stressed that elected representatives and organizational functionaries must work in close coordination and maintain continuous contact with the people. He said that the ongoing Seva Sankalp Abhiyan should be observed with full vigour and active public participation. He said the campaign reflects the spirit of service demonstrated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and should inspire society to contribute collectively towards the goal of building a Viksit Bharat by 2047.
