BJP holds ‘Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan’ workshop for five districts

Jammu: J&K BJP organized a day-long workshop on the ‘Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan’ for the organizational districts of Jammu, Jammu South, Jammu North, Akhnoor and Reasi at the party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu. Former DDCs, BDCs, Councillors and Sarpanches from these districts participated in the workshop and were apprised of the objectives, programmes and grassroots implementation strategy of the campaign.

Lok Sabha MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, BJP Vice-President Bharat Bhushan, General Secretary Sanjita Dogra and MLA Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal addressed the workshop.

Jugal Kishore Sharma, while addressing the participants, elaborated on the programmes planned under the campaign and appreciated the dedicated contribution of former elected representatives in serving the people. He said their grassroots experience, public connect and understanding of local issues would be instrumental in taking the campaign from the organizational level to every booth and household. He called upon them to personally participate in the activities and ensure that the programmes translate into tangible service for the people.

Bharat Bhushan said former elected representatives have an important responsibility to mobilize workers, involve local communities and ensure that every initiative reaches the ground. “The real success of this campaign will be measured not by the number of events held, but by the number of people touched through meaningful service,” he said.

Sanjita Dogra gave an overview of the 11 programmes and their implementation framework. She said the programmes include Seva Setu camps, blood donation and health check-up camps, cleanliness and plantation drives, youth skill development and employment awareness programmes, women empowerment initiatives, service activities in border and rural areas, ‘Modi@25’ development exhibitions and youth dialogues on Viksit Bharat@2047.

Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, the main resource person, explained the programmes in detail through a comprehensive PowerPoint presentation, focusing particularly on their practical execution at the grassroots. He said the former elected representatives must act as facilitators and mentors for booth teams, ensuring that every programme reaches its intended beneficiaries.

“Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan is not about celebration, it is about transforming the spirit of service into a sense of responsibility and duty towards every citizen and the nation,” Dr. Manyal said.

Dr. Manyal added that service activity at every booth, public outreach at every mandal and meaningful engagement with families must become the foundation of the campaign, ensuring that the message of sewa, responsibility and nation-building reaches the ground in every corner of these five organizational districts.
