SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 18: Jammu and Kashmir Police Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat on Friday congratulated the newly selected candidates for the J&K Police (Gazetted) Services, reminding them that the police uniform comes with significant responsibility and challenges, including risks to life.
Addressing the selected candidates on the sidelines of a function at Lok Bhavan in Srinagar, DGP Prabhat said the occasion marked an important and happy moment for the candidates and their families.
He said joining the police force was not only a matter of achievement but also brought considerable responsibility.
The DGP cautioned the candidates that they could face difficult situations during their service, including circumstances that may pose risks to their lives.
He expressed hope that their training would prepare them to handle such situations with confidence and professionalism.
Prabhat said the training programme would equip the newly selected officers with the necessary skills, knowledge and confidence to meet the demands of police service and perform their duties effectively.
He also said he would personally interact with the officers in greater detail once they join the police academy.
Congratulating the newly selected candidates, the DGP wished them success as they begin their careers with the Jammu and Kashmir Police.
