Jammu, Sep 23: The 17-year-old son of BJP Hiranagar MLA Vijay Kumar was traced to Delhi early Wednesday, a day after he was reported missing from his hometown in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said.
Aditya Kumar, a Class 11 student, left for Delhi on Tuesday evening to meet his sister without informing his family, prompting them to file a missing person report at the local police station, the officials said.
After hectic efforts, police teams traced Kumar while he was travelling on a Delhi-bound bus.
Acting on leads gathered during the night-long search, the police located the bus and established contact with the teenager, who is now being brought back to Jammu, the officials said.
His father had also left for Delhi on getting information about his son's whereabouts.
